Bees and other funny things in the yard

Well, well-this last weekend was full of surprises. Number one was watching a continuous hive of bees multiply and then leave.
Number two was a trip to the ER for Jon and his mangled finger which tried to intercept the hedge trimmer.
Last of all was the wonderful timing of our 52" TV projection bulb blowing out...a strange weekend.

Here Comes the Bride!

May 25, 2008 Jennifer Hall and Adam Baldauf exchanged wedding vows at St. Mary's Catholic church in College Station. Her attendants included her sisters, Jamie Hall and Jessica Cross, as well as Erika Bondy, cousin Jackie Hall, and Katie Baldauf, the groom's cousin.
The reception was held at Pebble Creek Country Club in College Station, with many Baldauf family members from New York and Connecticut attending, as well as Hall family from as far as San Diego, CA and Boise, ID.
The newlyweds will make their home in Lufkin, TX, where Adam is employed by Lockheed Martin, and Jen is employed by Angelina College.

Jen's Surprise Wedding Shower

For two months we kept a wonderful surprise from Jen-her best friend from high school in Colorado was coming to her shower in Dallas, and bringing her new baby with her!!! In addition, her sister, Jamie, flew in from Oregon to attend.

Well, another year older, another set of Christmas ornaments safely packed away-2006 is HISTORY!!!!

One of the benefits for Jon Thomas is living within 2.5 hours of Galveston-his very favorite place in the entire world! This was taken by me pointing the camera at us while we were sitting on a rock jetty about 100 yards from the Seawall, June 2006.
We had a great time just sitting still, watching the mullet jump, the fishermen trying to catch small dinner fish, and the gulls and heron diving into the water from time to time...
The was SO relaxing, it makes me almost want to do it again-except now it's too hot!

Scanning takes time, Lucky!!!

While I'm in the computer room trying to scan all the family pictures from the early 1960's, Lucky takes his place on the computer room floor-on his blanket! Bored again, so I bought him some 'sticks' to chew on...
So, while I go through all these 45+ year old pictures, I run into one that brings back very fond memories-my brother and me over at my grandparents McNevin house.

Merry Christmas to all of you! Thought you might like to see our newest addition to the Hall house-albeit temporary!!! She will live at Jessie's house when Jessie returns there on the 14th. Roxy was a gift from Adam, Jessie's boyfriend from Dallas...and his parents helped with the surprise for Christmas, and even took a video of her opening the basket with Roxy under a blanket...great fun!
